I can't login
You're trying to login and it's just not working. We know that can be frustrating, but no worries! 1. Can you get to the login page? You can login using the menu at the top right. Look for the little silhouette of a user icon. Clicking that will open up a drop-down menu that includes a Log in option. There are other ways you can login, too, such as by clicking a link in an email you were sent, or by accessing the course you want to take and clicking on “Already have access? Please login.” If you can't find a another way to login, here's a link to the login page for you: Click to login! Once you're at the login page, you should see something that looks a little like this (it might say something different, like "Log in to [Your Community] Training Portal" instead, depending on where you are). 2. Do you know your username? Your username should have been emailed to you when an account was created for you. Check your email. If you can't find it, don't sweat - you have so many options. One option is for you to just use your email address to login. Who wants to remember a hundred different usernames these days, anyway? Another option is for you to click the link at the bottom that says "Did you forget your username or password?" - you'll be prompted to enter your email address and an automatic email will be re-sent to you that has your login information. A final option is my favourite. Click the link that says "Send me a magic login link" which just sends a link to your email address. If you click the link, you're logged in. It's magic! To be honest, this is the option that I use all the time. 3. Still having trouble? It's possible you don't have an account. It could be that you had an account on our old site that didn't get migrated properly, so your username may have changed. Or, if you haven't used your account in a long time, it may have been automatically disabled. Or it could be that there is a typo in your email address or username. If you're still having trouble, click the question mark button at the bottom right of this screen to send us a support ticket. We'll get back to you ASAP!

I forgot my password
Can't remember your password? No worries, it happens to all of us. Once you're at the login page, you should see something that looks a little like this (it might say something different, like "Log in to [Your Community] Training Portal" instead, depending on where you are). There are two ways you can login if you can't remember your password. 1. Reset your password One option is for you to click the link at the bottom that says "Did you forget your username or password?" - you'll be prompted to enter your email address and an automatic email will be re-sent to you that will allow you to reset your password. The email will have the subject "Help with login on ACRE Consulting." 2. Get a Magic Login Link A final option is my favourite. Enter your email address in the "Username or email" field, and then click the link that says "Send me a magic login link" which just sends a link to your email address. If you click the link, you're logged in. It's magic! To be honest, this is the option that I use all the time. The email will have the subject "Here's your login link"

How do I change my password?
Before you change your password, we want to let you know something: When your account is first created, a password is automatically generated and sent to you via email. This password will keep on working until you change it. There is an interesting feature of our system that because it was a system-generated password, we can send you an email that reminds you what this password was, should you forget. (We still don't know what it is; it's encrypted, but our system can remind you.) If you want to change your password, we will no longer be able to remind you what your new password is, but if you forget that one, we can help you change it to a new one. How to change your password Log into your ACRE Consulting e-learning account Click to login! Once you've logged in successfully, select the Profile tab Select the "Security" tab Type in your Current password, your New Password, and repeat the new password Click the Change Password button to save

What's a "Magic Login Link"?
On the login page, you may have noticed a little link at the bottom that says "Send me a magic login link." You'd be forgiven for wondering what that means! Well, it's one of our favourite ways to login: instead of having to remember and re-enter your password every time, you can click the "Send me a magic login link button." It sends an email to you with a link that authenticates your account. It's kind of like two-factor authentication - instead of entering a password, it sends you an email and if you can open the email and click on the link, it must be you, so you can login without entering your password. One thing to note: the magic login link expires. It's only good for one use and you have to click it within a few hours or else it stops working. So don't bother keeping the email with the link pinned in your inbox for future reference. Use it once, delete the email, and then the next time you need to login, you can ask for a new magic login link.

Login link not working
You have a login link or a password reset link in your email, and it's not working. Why not? The most likely reason is that the link has expired. Has it been more than a few hours since the link was sent to you? That's probably the cause. Try to obtain a new link. You can go back to the login page and click the links to send a password reset or send a new magic login link, and then try using the link provided in the newer email. That should resolve the problem.

The name on my account is spelled wrong
Sorry to hear that. In all likelihood, someone registered you for training and made a typo on the registration form. To change it, click on your avatar/name/username to access your account menu. This little icon is located in the bottom left of your training portal. Then, click on "Your profile." From there, you should be able to edit your profile. Or you can use this quick link: Edit your profile

My training account is associated with the previous person in my role
When you register for a training course, if the email address you are using has previously been used to register for any training courses, this website will assume it’s the same person using that email address and will not create a new user account, since one already exists for that email address. This can cause problems for staff who are given the email account that was used by their predecessor, like caseworker@myorganization.org We recommend, if that’s the case for you, that you use plus-addressing when you register for training. In plain language, that means, if your name is Ali and your email address is caseworker@myorganization.org, enter your email address as caseworker+Ali@myorganization.org when you register for training. This will be detected as a unique email address, and so a new training account will be set up for you. Alternatively, you can just use a personal email address if you’re okay with that. What if I’ve already partially completed my training? If it’s too late for you to sign up with a new account, here’s what you can do. First, you can change the name on your account. Your certificate will be issued to whoever the account is associated with, not the name you registered for training with, so if you’ve got a certificate that says someone else’s name, you need to edit your account name. (If your certificate doesn’t automatically update, try uncompleting the last lesson and then re-completing it.) If the previous person in your role has already completed the course you’re supposed to be taking, you can reset your course progress. This will allow you to start the course over, and a second certificate will be issued once the course is completed a second time.
